CE Marking: PED Directive Perry Johnson Registrars, Inc. (PJR) and SZUTEST have joined together to provide CE marking for a wide range of products, including the product class that falls under the Pressure Equipment Directive (also known as PED). This CE Marking will allow a company to distribute its products within the European Union, and objectively verify that the product is safe to use.

Is my product considered Pressure Equipment?

The PED directive (97/23/EC) and the related directive – Simple Pressure Vessels (87/404/EEC), refer to a large group of products, which must be assessed properly to determine how best to apply the regulations.

“The Directive concerns items such as vessels, pressurized storage containers, heat exchangers, steam generators, boilers, industrial piping, safety devices and pressure accessories. Such pressure equipment is widely used in the process industries (oil & gas, chemical, pharmaceutical, plastics and rubber and the food and beverage industry), high temperature process industry (glass, paper and board), energy production and in the supply of utilities, heating, air conditioning and gas storage and transportation.”
