Global warming is a serious issue that affects individuals, countries, and the world. Working together to solve this issue has become a very urgent mission, as we are currently seeing the affects of global warming in changing weather patterns, rising sea levels due to melting glaciers, and an increase in the destructiveness of natural disasters.

Several programs have been established globally within the past few years that aim to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Some of these programs include the UNFCCC, Kyoto Protocol, EU-ETS, CDM and Joint Implementation, the Voluntary Carbon Standard, etc. Some programs include mandatory or voluntary reporting of greenhouse gas emissions, which is a momentous first step. Other programs go further to include mandatory or voluntary reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. By establishing both types of programs, we have taken great strides in our ultimate goal of reducing the effects of global warming.

Perry Johnson Registrars Carbon Emissions Services, Inc. (PJRCES) contributes to the efforts of greenhouse gas emission reduction by offering validation, verification, and certification services for various mandatory and voluntary reporting and emission reduction programs. PJRCES is also currently an ANSI applicant with further aspiration to become recognized and approved validators/verifiers/certifiers by United States-based programs including the Chicago Climate Exchange, The Climate Registry, and the Climate Action Reserve.
